Welcome
United Way of Susquehanna County invests in resources to make the greatest possible impact in the (27) Townships of Susquehanna County. We have supported over (20) such agencies annually in the past – noteworthy, as a recently formed organization, our first public dispersals were in 2001. Since then, community participation has grown rapidly, both with financial and service volunteer commitments.

Critical Community Needs
We wish to address our communities’ most critical issues. To do so, our leadership is comprised of community members representing local thinking and the concerns of our county. Any recipient organization deserving of support must be a non-profit, tax-exempt charity, governed by volunteers, and must submit an annual independent financial audit while also providing services at a reasonable cost and maintaining a policy of non-discrimination.

Volunteers, Cost-Effectiveness
A growing network of volunteers and the simplicity of either payroll deduction or periodic billing notices keep administrative costs to a minimum.

Our goal is to use interest income from our endowment fund for operating expenses so that 100% of every donated dollar goes directly to the non-profit agencies we serve.

Measurable Impact... doing what matters
Your United Way intends to build a coalition around a set of community priorities and measure success based on community impact... doing what matters.

Please help us to meet your needs and those of our neighbors.
